Resume - Investment Banking or Portfolio Management

Hi guys,

I will appreciate any feedback on my resume: format, language, anything.

I've been trying to get a position in Investment Banking for the past few years without much success. I had few interviews, some rejections letters, but mostly no answers.

Alternatively, I am considering a career change into portfolio management since I've been working on the CFA accreditation.

Thanks!

rid the check marks covert them to look like all the other bullets. last internship has to go, qualifications section leave to discussing in your cover letter----also, don't take this the wrong way buy I think your going to have better luck going for a pm position then IB. IB no one cares about the CFA, just 79 & 63 at associate level.

its one way or the other: hate me or admire.

I thought the check marks were useful to differentiate between responsibilities and achievements. You're right about the CFA.

spaceagecowboyBVal all the way kid. Gonna be very difficult to get into IB.

I took this job as I thought it would be a good way to gain experience that could be very transferable into IB. In fact, a valuation report for pre-acquisition, management buyout, fairness opinions, etc. looks pretty much like an investment memorandum, but with much more support (or emphasis) on how do you arrive to the market value.

On the other hand, valuation for financial reporting, intangible assets, etc...are a completely different animal....
