Should I indicate my intention to pursue masters on resume?
Hi,
I am planning to apply for off-cycle and SA positions in London. I have recently completed my undergrad in Finance (non-target), thus decided to pursue masters at renowned European program. However, the application process has not opened yet, nor have I taken my GMAT. I was wondering if I should indicate my plans to do masters, since some off-cycle recruitments are ongoing and I would like to apply. Given my current academic performance, work experience and extracurricular activities I am pretty sure that I will get an offer from this university.
This is something you share with someone in a conversation. Resume is about your history.
Do you think that I could mention it in my cover letter?
If you work it into your story, instead of just mentioning it randomly in a way that seems to stick out awkwardly, yes.
This is very confusing.
If you get an offer then you should focus on that. The masters becomes redundant.
I wouldn't mention that you're going to do a masters. I'd just think if I read that CV / Cover - "why offer this guy if he's dead set on a masters, let grad recruitment pick him up after he's done"
Some SA only allow penultimates to apply though
