Should I put my community college in my resume?
I transferred from community college to Brown University last semester. Worked my ass off and was super involved. Should I put it in or just put Brown?
Also I’ll only be at Brown for two and a half years, should I just put my expected graduation date rather than beginning and end?
Was in a similar spot and was advised to leave off and just focus on building resume post-uni. Served me well as I grinded during those 2.5 yrs and at a top bank in T1 city now.
In hindsight, don’t think this job / industry is necessarily for me, but went through all the motions nonetheless; looking back, wonder how things would’ve shook out had I owned and took pride in my journey rather than hide it and pretend it never happened… food for thought, but congrats on making it to Brown!
Including it would potentially be very polarizing. I.e., some will love the hustle, and others will look down on it and consider it a non-starter. I did not list mine, just expected graduation date. Nobody ever questioned it.
