Sophomore internship resume

Could you guys take a look at my resume? I know its weak, I just transferred to a semi-target and hopefully through networking I can get some kind of internship this summer for S&T, or MO. I am also starting an IB and S&T club at my school, trading club and possibly a rugby team if I can drum up enough support. What do you guys think?

Generally I would not recommend this but, you need to add something more to this resume. Not sure what to do about the three school, looks weird but it is what it is. You say that you like to trade stock via paper trading online. Anyway you can add a section to experience highlighting what you have done and learned via paper trading. talk about how you research companies, any kind of returns you have made. There is just a bunch of white space with nothing relating to finance. Add that section in and repost the resume. Just my 2 cents

Updated it. Added an engineering consulting internship I did this fall. I'm trying to get more finance related items onto it because I originally wanted to do engineering. I know its two pages, I"ll edit it after I try and fill it more. I am going to try and get any thing finance related this summer.

Ok, first of kill the top and bottom margins to make more fit on the same page and make your font smaller. Under your investment thing, add something like focused on BLANK industries after completing thorough due diligence on relative price multiples and understanding the several challenges these industries face. Also make another bullet point that says performed company valuation, analytical research and time weighted return in evaluating and maintaining a competitive and diversified portfolio. Can you add another main bullet for your consulting internship? Also delete your last bullet on your work experience with the golf course. make sure to have your newest experience first, so switch the gold thing with the investing. and repost the resume again. Mess with the margins to make sure it is all on one page

Updated it. I couldn't really thing of anything for the engineering consultant. Basically what I do is travel to different water damaged houses, take pictures, and write reports for the insurance company or whoever requested the report. Thanks for all your help so far.

Just out of curiosity, how is it that you have an expected GPA of 3.75 without actually taking any classes yet? This looks absurdly fishy and will to anyone who reads this as well given that you have just finished classes at a community college within the last 2 weeks.

Thats my goal and looking at that classes I am taking in the spring I think I can accomplish that. I was told to put an expected GPA and that's what I expect to get. What would you have me put as my GPA? Originally didn't have a GPA listed, is that a better option?

You need to line all of your dates up with your text. The words should not go longer than where your dates are, Obviously don’t apply anywhere until you have a set in stone GPA. Had the largest return out of X number of people in a two month stock market simulation. I almost want to say leave you GPA off for your first year of school, not sure what other people think, but it is very low and I don’t think you necessarily need it on their, I am no expert though. On technical skills as MS office. At the end of your last bullet for attendant add in saving time resulting in increased efficiency and productivity. I mean other than that, have other family members look it over and if you get a 3.75 at a semi target I think that you should be able to land some kind of internship this summer and get the experience going into SA recruiting for junior year.

SB for all your help. Maybe I should just leave all my GPAs off until I have a GPA from the semi-target?

When exactly are you planning to start sending your resume out. This semester should be done rather shortly and you should have your GPA soon, also make sure to have someone else look it over. I think that when you get your GPA if it is like you said >3.7 just leave off the other two GPA's. You do not want to apply anywhere without that semi-target GPA. No problem and good luck

Just take off your first college altogether, its unnecessary. Your grades don't transfer from there and you aren't graduating from there. Leave your community college and GPA from it in tact until you have an actual GPA from the school you're graduating from. You definitely do not want to write expected without having even gone to a single class yet. Just write N/A or something. I guarantee you if someone reads it and sees any sort of number there they're going to think its fishy and move on. If you were near the end of finishing the semester and had an idea that's a different story though...

edit: ct banker: He is still at community college and hasn't begun clases at the new school yet. That's the problem with leaving any sort of GPA figure in for the latest school.

my apologies re: the expected gpa. i didn't take enough time to look over your resume and thought you have been taking classes this semester in which case you would be able to put and expected gpa or at least your gpa from the mid-term. if you have yet to set foot in the classroom, you should definitely leave off any gpa, expected or otherwise.

Next semester I'll be putting my midterm GPA on in march. Are spots usually open in march?
