Sophomore resume; rip it apart!

Hello everyone,

I am a second year student at a non-target large state school pursuing a dual major in finance and accounting. I am looking to either do an internship this summer or a summer abroad program (I asked for advice on which route I should go in the job discussion forum this morning; I still need more opinions so feel free to go there and opine!). I am looking for critique on my resume because I am unsure of where I stand in comparison to others. My long term goal (post grad) is for BB IB. My short term goal (possibly this summer; see my inquiry on internship vs study abroad) is to get an internship at a smaller firm in either IB, AM, PE, PWM, etc. I'll take what I can get, as I have zero work experience.

So here are my questions. Where do I stand? What are my overall chances of getting reaching my long term and short term goals? What would you do if you were in my shoes? How does my resume look?

Any and all input is appreciated; don't hesitate to constructively criticize!

Thank you!

Lots of white space; include technical strengths (MS Office, Bloomberg, SharePoint, etc.)

Would also take some of the relevant coursework courses off; some of that doesn't apply (basic management)

I don't like the bullet within a bullet within a bullet thing you've got going on. Just make them normal instead. Agree with broadstbully that the Skills, Activities, and Interests needs some skills. I know it can be hard; you're just a sophomore, so maybe this is the moment when you realize that your skills suck and you need to put extra effort into learning some desirable things to include there. Maybe you can get a friend or mentor in the industry to put some time into walking you through the things mentioned above.

All in all I think it's pretty strong. In a year you'll have enough stuff there that you won't need to kill lines with the courses nobody cares about and the weird bulleting scheme. Good luck to you!

PS, is your student government budget absurdly small, or was mine absurdly large? When I was in University (also a large state university), the student govt budget I ran was in the $15MM range, and I thought that was mediumish. Just curious.
