Stat padding my honors for colleges / uni

Hello there,

Currently in my final year of high school applying to unis as a international student. I have pretty solid extracurriculars and grades. However, my honors are lacking due to there not being much interest in econ / finance related tournaments for ppl my age in my country.

As I can imagine many of you have been in my position before (applying to top schools US and UK for finance), I was wondering if anyone could share some last-minute tips for bumping my honors section? e.g tournaments/societies you happen to know of?

I just applied EA / ED today so I have about 2 months until regular decisions are due.

"Top" UK schools don't really offer finance. You can also study whatever you want, within reason, at UK schools provided you go to a target school so definitely don't feel you need to do finance. In fact, finance is less respected in the UK. Something in STEM/Econ would be great but you can branch out further if you like. If you're in your final year, you already missed the Oxbridge deadline, but I'd argue admissions success in the UK largely relies on creating an application like you're applying to Oxbridge because all other top universities look for the same thing.

UK universities don't care about extracurriculars at all, they care about supercurriculars and the reading you have done to explore your subject and will expect you to mention these and your own views/opinions on the things you have discovered and read:
