Pretty sure Luxor and Governors Lane also generally require their analysts to be undisclosed too based on people I know there.  Analysts at those two tend to look somewhat similar to the ones that Elliott recruits too (ie relatively well credentialed).

Soros usually has $30bn family office as well. Though Soros is probably defensible given their employees would likely be harassed given political lean.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for professionals working at certain hedge funds to maintain a level of secrecy about their employer on public platforms like LinkedIn. This is often due to a variety of reasons such as preventing poaching, maintaining privacy, or protecting the fund's strategies. However, when it comes to their actual resumes, the approach may differ:

  1. Resumes for Job Applications:

    • For job applications, it is generally expected to provide more detailed information than on a public LinkedIn profile. Candidates would typically list the actual name of the hedge fund to ensure the potential employer can accurately assess their experience and background.
    • If there are confidentiality agreements in place, candidates might use a description (e.g., "Top-tier New York-based Hedge Fund") that provides some information while still respecting the terms of their employment.
  2. Resumes for Networking:

    • When sharing a resume for networking purposes, professionals might still opt to keep the fund's name undisclosed if they feel it could lead to unwanted attention or if they have been instructed to do so by their employer.
  3. Internal Documentation:

    • Within the fund itself or for regulatory and compliance purposes, full disclosure of the employer is typically required on any official internal documents.

It's important to note that while professionals may be required to keep their employer's name off public-facing profiles, they should still be truthful and accurate in private job applications, always respecting any confidentiality agreements they may have with their current or past employers.
