Academic planning to settle in Houston

Hello - I have family in Houston so would eventually like to settle there. I’m currently a junior in college (Midwest) and enrolled as a Finance major.

Do I need an MBA to succeed in Finance? How should I plan my academic career to have a lucrative job in the Houston area? I really want to stay away from the Energy sector since it’s so volatile.
