Any advice from UChicago alums here

Hey guys about to start my freshman year at chicago and have been learning about IB/finance careers lately. Been learning a lot about recruiting in general from wso, just wondering if there are any uchicago alums on this site with advice for freshman year (and beyond).

As in what to prioritize, classes to take/avoid, clubs to join, frats, any stuff that should we should get started on with recruiting.

Or any other words of wisdom abt uchic

Take easy classes, start networking early, and definitely only take 3 classes winter and spring quarters your sophomore year. Aside from that, I mean I got an EB without joining any frats or any finance clubs - as long as you network and are sufficiently prepped you’ll do great.

Hey, I would first take your real name out of your username. Also I'm really not sure you will need to take 3 classes winter or spring quarter if you plan it out well. If you schedule TAPS or like your On Images during those quarters, those are easy classes that you can knock out without making things harder down the line. If you want you can join TBC or UIBG but for the other clubs I think it's also important to join some clubs that you're actually interested in so you actually have motivation to climb up the leadership ladder there

heard on X (formerly "Twitter") that there is a load of criminals attacking students on campus, stay safe dude
