At What Point Should I Start Studying GMAT?

Working at a solid shop that sends a couple people to M7/T10 schools each year. I know that I want an MBA, and will begin working in a week.

If I know I want to get an MBA in 4-6 years, when should I start prepping for the GMAT?

Start now.

While you are just graduating college, your mind is still in the learning mode (as I call it). It will be easier to learn now. GMAT scores are valid for 5 years - so as long as you aim to go to B-School within the next 5 years, you are good to go.

Once you start working and than get into GMAT - believe me, it gets really hard to get back to studying. When you are no longer in that studying mindset, you usually delay things, and won't learn as quickly.

Even if you don't do it now - don't wait till the 4th year to study. As soon as you know you will be going for B-School, open the books!
