Bachelor decision (RSM vs University of Groningen)

What study should I choose, IB at the University of Groningen or IBA at Erasmus University Rotterdam? I got accepted at EUR as well as at the University of Groningen and now I have to choose between these two. I really like the city in Groningen and I already made some friends there but I like EUR more if you look solely at the university. Rotterdam as well as Groningen have a high ranking (Shanghai ranking) which makes it even more difficult. What is more important and which universitity should I choose?

I would like to thank everyone in advance!

Yes, and while scrolling through this site I found a lot of questions/information about RSM and none about the University of Groningen which made me think that in the international field studying at RSM is more appreciated than studying at the University of Groningen like you now confirmed! Thank you.

I have studied at both – go for RSM/EUR if you are looking to go into IB, it has a better reputation and better recruitment facilities than Groningen.

You are right though, Groningen is miles ahead of Rotterdam in terms of student life. In the end, you'll have to decide what is more important to you.

What did you study at the universities? and thank you for the information I think I will accept RSM's offer! It sounds better for my future and I can always visit my friends in Groningen. That way I have 'the best of both worlds'.

I don't want to get into too much detail for anonymity, but I studied economics/finance/business for both my Bachelor's in Groningen and Master's in Rotterdam.

I think that's a nice balance to have, provided that you do end up going to Groningen every now and then of course!

Feel free to send me a PM if you want to talk more in private.
