Baruch vs. MSU for S&T?

I've been looking at a bunch of colleges and I'm picking my safeties at the moment. My mom went to Michigan State so she's pushing that, but I'm really wanting to move out to NY and hopefully get a job at S&T. But I digress. Is Baruch comparatively better than Michigan State for S&T recruiting? Would it be worth it to go even though MSU is ranked higher nationally? How's the student life there?
Also, if you could rank these schools for S&T target/semi/non I'd be very appreciative: Bates, Lehigh, Colby, Fordham, Franklin and Marshall, Trinity. I'm aware that none of these are actually targets, but which would be best?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Colby has decent representation at Barclays (due to the former ceo) Franklin and Marshall has some representation in the south, minimal in NYC Fordham is okay as well. Trinity has some representation, but most people who break in from Trinity manage due to rich family member connections, not through the school.

I would most definitely pick Baruch over MSU. PM me if you have any more questions.

Baruch had some decent S&T recruiting the past two years from most of the BB's. Not sure how many people they ended up taking, but pretty much all of them recruited there. Baruch also has the added benefit of being in NYC, which makes networking easier.

The question is do you really want to pay out of state tuition for Baruch? Plus, in terms of having a fun/traditional college experience, Baruch sucks on that front too. It's a big commuter school and most people go in and out, without much socializing.

Paying out of state tuition won't really matter to me since out of state tuition is almost the exact same as in-state at MSU, give or take a few thousand, and I'd most likely be funding my own room and board by living off campus and working. As for the social scene, doesn't that put me at a disadvantage seeing as banks like to see extracurriculars having to do with banking on resumes?

I'm not talking about find EC's to put on a resume.I'm talking about the typical college frat boy experience. Also, good luck on finding $1 beer nights at any bars in NYC.

PS: Funding your own housing in NYC is going to be a neat trick as a full-time student. Student housing is not much of a discount either. I've heard a lot of people tell me, that you're better off finding your own apartment.

Thanks for the response Yeah I meant room and board in a sense of just paying for my own food and an apartment. And I'm not exactly the frat boy type anyway. I'm more of a shut-in obsessive who just so happens to be obsessed with money so I like researching stocks and stuff like that. That being said, I still do like to socialize, but I don't think I'll be a big fan of binge-drink socializing. By the way, is a PWM internship just as much of a jump-off point for S&T as it is for IB? And if so, is there a possibility of getting one the summer after freshman year?
