Baylor vs. SMU vs. UTD
I'm having trouble in which school would be best to attend for international business as well as having the best chances of getting an internship and having a high salary post-graduation. Also, considering that my parents' incomes combined are not very high, I'm really considering going to UTD. But, from what I've heard and read, Cox is a better school, has almost a guarantee of getting an internship, and a higher paying salary than UTD.
The reason why I even applied to Baylor was because my brother went there, has International Business as a major, and has a connection with Yonsei--I plan to study abroad. But it didn't appeal to me other than that.
I think I'm just looking for some reasons to convince me that SMU isn't as good as people say--although I know the real truth. Any advice or knowledge about the two that could help convince my parents that UTD would be better for me?
SMU > Baylor > UTD, in my opinion.
I would go to SMU over both Baylor and UTD.
I know at least one MM IB used to recruit on campus at Baylor, not sure if that's still the case.
UTD is not a good school period. Went to a target and target MSF. I can tell you I would not ever hire a UTD grad SMU in MBB, IB, and PE. I’ve never met a UTD grad. Only UTD grads I have met are engineers and accountants.
UTD to be frank is a commuter school with piss poor faculty and facilities. I recently moved back to Dallas from NYC after 7 year. I have received a few resumes from UTD and they where piss to poor and the individuals just were flat out not impressive. They barley place in big 4 which is a huge red flag. If you want to be a software engineer go to UTD but outside of that it’s not a good school.
I’m originally from Dallas and UTD but moved back after 13 years and the perception of UTD is not perceived well in Finance/PE or unheard of. Just my 2 cents.
This is for undergrad correct? Why international business as a major?
Also, if you can swing it financially - SMU.
TAMU/UT out of the picture?
