BB S&T = low chance of getting into H/S/W?

I have seen some posts mentioning how HBS does not like sales and trading as pre-MBA experience for its MBA admissions.

BB S&T 2nd year, target undergraduate, few BB and tier-1 buy-side summer internships etc

I was just wondering if given i do well for my GMAT/Essay/Recommendations etc, just the fact that I am from S&T would significantly decrease my chances of entering H/S/W? From other threads, it sounds like Wharton could be a shot but unlikely for H/S.. is this true?

"Intern in Other" would IB be considered a good enough goal or should it be something fluffier like changing the world n shit

IB is fine or even better is something with a direct relationship with skills from ST like something more investment management, asset management, or HF/VC. Doesn’t matter once you get in though most opportunities will be open to you.
