Best pre-MBA career for post-MBA career optionality and comp?
Got into several M7 deferred MBAs in the last cycle (non-HSW) but plan on reapplying in HSW before I matriculate.
Currently in a markets rotational program at a Canadian Investment Bank and have the options of entering ER, standard S&T, or a more market oriented banking groups (securization, dcm, etc). I was thinking ER might be the best pre-MBA experience but not too sure.
Either planning on matriculating at the 2-year mark or stick it out for 3/4 years to strengthen my app for HSW. Will likely exit the sell-side after 4 years if I end up in a non S&T group.
