Best school to transfer?

I would like your opinions on where to transfer. I decided to transfer to give myself a shot at consulting recruiting, as my original school was good, but a hard non-target (aka tier 2 UC). Not accepted to all yet, so this is somewhat hypothetical, but I have been accepted to most so far.

Which schools would give me the best shot to get to MBB/tier 2 consulting? How would you rank them?

  1. UVA: not guaranteed Mcintire, but about a 60% acceptance rate once at UVA
  2. Vanderbilt: Econ major
  3. Georgetown: MSB
  4. Brown: Business Econ
  5. Northwestern: Econ

Admittedly, I don't have the most experience in this area. However, I would think very carefully about choosing any school here besides Brown. Some of my friends from HS were looking to go into consulting, and they all considered Brown good enough to get them anywhere they wanted to go.

Brown and Northwestern are both MBB targets. I think Georgetown SFS is probably an MBB target but not sure if the business school is (you can see the placement numbers online though if you Google for it). Vanderbilt is probably solid for some MBB regional southern offices, but don't expect to end up in a major city like NYC/SF/Chicago from there. UVA is likely the worst option.

Northwestern is definitely a MBB target; consulting firms in general tend to recruit heavily there. Not sure about consulting on Georgetown's campus, but my friend there has said that students are more pushed toward banking.

Vanderbilt has a good amount of recruiting from MBB. However, most students place into DC, Atlanta, or Texas. Bain himself graduated from Vandy.
