Best schools/locations to study abroad at?
What are the best and most reputable schools/locations in the world to study abroad at during undergrad? What looks best on your resume when you are applying for jobs after your undergrad and then business schools later on?
People don't really care about the reputation of the school you study abroad at... it's one semester and isn't nearly the same as being admitted to the school. Just focus on the location your really want to be in.
The value of studying abroad isn't anything academic; it's about the experiences you have there. What's more important will be stories you might have to offer about your experience. Have fun man
What are your suggestions as far as location goes?
Few things that interest me: Women Soccer (which makes western Europe extremely appealing) Good social life and some partying I want to experience a culture shock
I would still prefer for the reputation of the school to be good. Why is it that the reputation does not matter? thexfactor336
I would say Cambridge/Oxford always looks great on your resume - I’ll be studying abroad at one of those two next year and when I told my MD interviewer (at a top BB), we spent half the interview talking about the UK and the school since she had studied abroad there as well.
Lse/hec/iese
To meet all those criteria and have a big name go to HEC/LSE/Bocconi/IE/Esade. You'll get the women, soccer, good social life and good food. CBS and SSE in Scandinavia are also interesting and a pretty different culture to South/West Europe.
How does HEC's name/reputation compare to INSEAD? Is HEC is better?
What about the other schools in England (London Business School, Cambridge, Oxford) @G-I the pharma guy"
For undegrad I think HEC but for MBA INSEAD for sure. Oxbridge and LSE are strong targets even at undergrad. Does LBS offer undergrad?
HEC doesn't have undergrad.
"Does LBS offer undergrad"
I honestly don't know. I a newbie when it comes to this. I made this post in order to get advice from people that know more than I do
LBS doesn’t have an undergrad program
I believe LSE only accepts study abroad students for the full academic year versus a single semester so that’s another thing to consider. Also check dates for your programs, Oxbridge starts late/ends late so a few of my friends have had to leave the program early in June to start their internship
Yeah I check and LBS doesn't offer it so exclude it
