Big 4 vs LSE

Hi all,

Long time reader, first time poster.

So I've managed to get myself offers for BSc Accounting and Finance at LSE and for A&F at another top 10 university (UK), but it is run by a Big 4 firm, and offers paid internships throughout, a paid year out with them and a almost guaranteed job with them at the end (as long as you don't do anything stupid...like burn down their office).

Whilst going in to the Big 4 degree looks attractive, a part of me wants to go to LSE simply because its LSE (the IB networking opportunities, being an LSE alumnus may pay off later on, prestige etc)

Do you think it is worth going for LSE and aiming higher than the Big 4 straight away i.e. high finance or just going to the Big 4 degree, sticking that out until I qualify (ACA/CPA) and look to transfer to finance/IB if I still fancy it 5 years later.

Do you think a Big 4 name on the old CV is just as valuable as LSE for IB, or even in industry?

If this is in the wrong forum; apologies.

Your thoughts?
