Quite false, have seen many undergrads from BIEF break directly into London IB. It's just that most people in Bocconi are italian and italians usually go for MSc, thus not applying to SA/OC while in undergrad for whatever reason. Moreover, undergrads who don't get into the "right" clubs are mostly clueless on how to play the IB recruiting game.

Academically Bocconi has a reputation of being tough and very theoretical. BIEF is quite an easy degree though, maybe not as easy as a UK degree but I wouldn't describe it as difficult

Not really I guess, but they can become "difficult", as in: it's likely you will get a non-exceptional grade, if the grades of the whole class are curved based on a benchmark distribution like they implicitly do in many Bocconi exams (only some exams explicitly tell you that they will be curving).

The above mostly happens in the best MScs of Bocconi and the hardest (2-3) exams of BSc, so I wouldn't worry, especially if you are doing BIEF/BIEM which are easier than the italian-taught courses

I have been offered a place in BIEM but can switch to BIEF, I want to eventually go into IB for its great exit ops, but the management side is also interesting to me

What would u do in my place?

Hi! From what I heard from past students, the atmosphere is very competitive and the people are not very nice together as they fight for the best gpa to apply to top schools for exchange... Do take this into account...

Huge negative for bocconi.....
