Breaking In? - Decided to send my deposit into Northeastern

This past May I decided to send my deposit into Northeastern over Lehigh, Wake Forest, Maryland, Penn State and Fordham. I did a lot of research and figured Northeastern would be the way to go if I wanted to work at a Boston bank or still even in New York, but I am still unsure to whether or not I made the right decision. Should I try transferring to a school like BC, BU or anywhere else? Any input would be great.

I know some people working in NYC from Northeastern but they really had a hard time applying to top banks and work for boutiques. I would say that it might benefit you to transfer to BC or BU after freshman year.

I go to Northeastern and I would NOT suggest transferring to BC or BU after your freshman year. BC, BU, and NEU are all non targets. If you were to transfer, I would go to an ivy or other target if possible, but if not I would stick with NEU. The co-op program is growing very fast and if you are at the top of your class you can definitely get good co-ops that will eventually help you land a BB offer if thats what you want. I think its arguably the "best" non target because you are able to build your resume through the internship program.

Also a little advice, do well your freshman and 1st semester sophomore year. Your GPA is very important especially for your first co op.

Agree with Packmate. If you are going to transfer, it better be a target.

BC is a far better school than both BU and Northeastern. If he can get in, and money isn't an issue, he should go to BC over both of these schools.

Hey thanks for the advice guys. I plan on applying to some targets this semester but if that doesn't work out its good to know northeastern is still a viable option

My final choices were northeastern, Lehigh and wake. When I visited I hated Lehigh, I don't know why I know it's a good school but it seemed quirky. Wake was 13 hours away and boston seemed like a good place to make connections so I made my decision based on that
