Breaking into IB as an International – Need Advice on MBA Choice
Hi everyone,
I’m currently the CFO of a premium retail chain in Central Asia, and I have prior experience working in private equity. My goal is to transition into investment banking post-MBA, aiming for an Associate role at a top firm in the US.
I’m applying to MBA programs at Emory Goizueta, Texas McCombs, and Georgetown McDonough. Given my background, which of these schools would provide the best opportunity for breaking into IB in the U.S.? I know all three have IB placement, but I’d love to hear insights on which one has the strongest network and recruiting pipeline for top banks.
Given my background, I would also appreciate any advice on how to best position myself for recruiting.
Thanks in advance!
