Business Administration or Economics and Business undergraduate degree?

Hello everyone, I'm currently applying for both BA and EBE courses in Erasmus Rotterdam University and UvA Amsterdam. I really don't know what to choose, my plan is to graduate in one of these and then, after having a good score on the GMAT, apply for a master's degree in Finance in a target school. Any advice ? Which one prepares me the best? Which one is better looked at?

Thank you,

Alberto Angelini

If you are a native Dutch speaker, RSM is one of the semi-targets in London while UvA is nothing

If not, there's no material difference between the two schools in terms of employability, but Amsterdam offers more opportunities for networking/internship + has a better student life than Rotterdam

I am not a native dutch, I am Italian. do you think going to Uva would be the same thing instead of RSM, in terms of thinking about Master's degree afterwords? Because I'm not really focusing on employment after my bachelor at the moment. I believe the important things to do would be to graduate in any university between these two, but with a high GPA, and with good internships done in my CV. In order to get into a Master in a Target school like LSE. What do you think?

Moreover, I really don't know if it's better to do Business Administration or Economics and Business Economics (two courses present in both unis) Do you think Economics would be better for a Master in Finance after? for investement banking even after?

I'm just 18 and I don't know what's the best choice for my future, hope to get a good advice from this :)

From a non-finance focused perspective, the reputation of UvA is >>>>>>> RSM, this helps if you want to pursue a more scientific degree/better University in the future

RSM is indeed a better name across London IB, but as I mentioned it's largely limited to Dutch Native Speaker

Something to consider is life in Amsterdam >>>>> Rotterdam as well as you can easily get into RSM's master from UvA

Regarding Econ vs. BA, I have no comment... the most important part is which study interests you the most and fits your skill set

I don't think limiting oneself to EBE or BA is wise, as top PE/IB is becoming increasingly sector-specialized

A master's degree in healthcare-related fields may be more valuable than a master's in finance for those interested in healthcare-focused PE/VC/IB.
