CFA vs online MBA?

Considering two options, which one will have the highest ROI to boost the profile? CFA or an online MBA at one of those: Boston U, Oxford Brookes U, Macquarie U, Gies College (Illinois). That is assuming that I would also already have an MSc in Accounting from a UK top school. I honestly have no possibility to take a one or two year vacation to do a full-time MBA.

I’m making a similar decision. ROI for CFA is most likely higher. But I feel a top tier MBA even if part time, gives you more optionality if you aren’t planning on staying in the investment world forever.

Oh, why is that? Could you also advise on this: I am currently doing the ACCA route which allows me to get BSc from Oxford Brookes and MSc from UCL/Uni London, both majoring in Accounting. I talked with UCL and ACCA and they actually allow getting MSc without BSc from Oxford Brookes. So, the question is, is it better to NOT have Oxford Brookes name in my resume entirely and just have ACCA and MSc from UCL?

I do the ACA, so can't speak for the ACCA, nor do I know what you mean by an 'ACCA route' letting you get a BSc and MSc. I'm assuming it's a joint degree program with Brooks/UCL where you get credits toward the ACCA. Personally I wouldn't bother with Brookes at all, period. Again, unless something has changed, it's pretty much as non-target as you can get.

To speak generally about your situation: where are you from? You're applying to a mix of US and UK unis, you're apparently an ER investment analyst, doing ACCA, doing a BSc, then an MSc, or MSc without an MSc... in the nicest possible way, it sounds like you're all over the place, don't have a clue what you want, don't know what your ultimate end-goal is and thus don't know what you're doing to achieve said goal. Suggest you take 10 steps back and research exactly what the ACCA will give you and the jobs it will allow you do to. Research what going to a UK v US university will do for your employement prospects in each area. Research what doing an MSc will do for you vs a BSc.
