Chances of M7/S16 MBA? And is my career goal realistic?

Hey guys, I actually got into 1 of the top 2 European B-sch a year ago (that was the only school I applied at that time for some specific reasons) but decided not to go since I got my current job offer. I am thinking to apply for MBA again, but only schools in the US. I am not going to apply for round 3 now but targeting 2019 entry cycle starting the fall.

My profile is as follows: BS Finance, in a top university in Asia (local target school for BB or MBB) 3.7 GPA / first class honors GMAT 740

WE 4 years currently and ~5.5 years at matriculation 1 year at a top US BB sales role Almost 2 years at a local US$100m boutique equity L/S hedge fund. No-name but was nominated for a serious Asia HF award during my time there. Now 1 year at one of Asia's largest hedge fund group (US$5bn+ and does carry some brand name in the region). Doing equity L/S covering Tech and consumer and decide to stay until matriculation.

EC is my weakness Most recent EC is just as alumni committee for my undergrad program. Actively involved in organizing alumni activities and mentoring current students.

Career goals It sounds unusual but I have been covering tech and consumer for 3 years now. I actually want to get closer to real businesses. So the goal is likely to be working in the industry or consultant. Not sure if it is a realistic goal, as an equity investor in the secondary market, my business experience is really just limited to analyzing the company/industry and the public financial information as an outsider.

For school choice I am a bit confused. Given my finance background it sounds easier for me to apply for finance-oriented places like Columbia/Booth/Stern, and if things do not work out, finance schools help me go back to finance easier. However, considering my career goal, it looks like I should go for places like Kellogg/Haas/Duke, etc.

And finally I want to ask about my chance at any of these M7/S16 schools. Thanks in advance.
