Current Freshman Thinking about Switching to Business
Hi, I just finished my freshman year at college working in engineering. But the math and sciences are getting rather boring and econ and finance looks much more appealing to me. I have been considering a dual degree with engineering and business but I feel like my already lackluster GPA (3.25 overall) would probably not get up into the 3.6 and up range that seems to be needed for IB. I have been reading up on finance stuff on here as well as several other sites and books so I am pretty sure I want to work in some finance field when I graduate.
So basically I am just a new guy looking for some friends and some advice. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!
If you can manage to get straight A's for even one semester, your GPA would go to 3.7+
It really isn't hard to change GPA. I knew someone who averaged a 3.3 over 4 whole semesters, got straight A's his 5th semester, and his GPA became a 3.5.
It's never too late to raise your GPA.

If you would rather do business then you should do business. Your gpa will be higher because you'll like what you're studying.
