Dear MBA Associate - Your Fly is Unzipped

You read about how useless MBAs are when they first hit the desk, and part of you thinks it is a joke while the other part of you knows there is a learning curve. What no one talks about is the entitlement and attitude from the MBAs. Stop telling 1st and 2nd years how to do the job. The 2nd years could run laps around you, and the 1st years - despite not being "ex - Deloitte" - can still create cleaner backups and slides.

Maybe instead of worrying about whether or not the MD gets the PIB before EOD, maybe worry about your LBO having a 37% IRR for an unprofitable company as of a year ago. Oh, and when you said your work looked good and didn't need a second set of eyes, maybe be sure the Twitter logo isn't where Instacarts' should be when we're talking about ECM activity.

The best MBAs are the ones who view themselves as analysts, and offer their opinion as a potential addition and not a direction of fact. You know nothing, and the best way to help the team is by admitting to yourself that you're shit, but you are here to eat mud to learn how to swim.

And if you are an MBA that doesn't think this applies to you... well... I got news for you buddy....
