Decide on MSF program

Hi folks,

I have received admits for MSF programs at Simon, OSU and Rady. I applied to both MSF and MBA this year but, was denied or waitlisted for MBA for most of my dream school.

I am a Chartered Accountant (India) and have cleared CFA level 3. I have about 4 years of work experience with an Investment bank and Insurance company in India. Currently, I am pursuing a full-time Financial Analytics course at UCB Extension in Berkeley.

I am wondering if MSF will add much value to my profile as I have already completed my CFA. My main concern is the low GMAT score i.e. 640 and a gap in employment due to relocation to the USA (about 10 months). I am not working currently and waiting for work authorization. Besides, I am also pursuing FRM to make good use of my time.

Does it make sense to wait for a year and re-apply for an MBA after working on my GMAT or go ahead with current MSF options?

If MSF, then any feedback on any of the colleges stated above is appreciated.
