DePaul University or Indiana University for finance?

I've been accepted to both and I can't seem to make up my mind. Indiana University is out of state for me so it will end up costing me about 40,000 a year and I did not attain direct admission to Kelley.
On the other hand, I was also accepted to DePaul University with about 10,000 dollars off over all...which isn't much, but hey it's free money!

I realize that Indiana University has a better finance program but then again DePaul is right in the middle of the financial district of Chicago.

I would really like to work at a bank some day and eventually become a portfolio manager if I play my cards right.

Whats everybody's take on this?

Somewhat good DePaul representation in Chicago, but IU Kelley is definitely much more prevalent. But being as you aren't a direct admit, this could be tricky. I would say it's a toss up unless you know you can transfer into Kelley.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Both schools are going to pretty much offer the same recruiting opportunities. It's possible to get into ibanking from both (BB will be a long shot) but you will need a 3.7+, solid experience, and will have to network a ton. Personally, I would choose DePaul because I love Chicago. The money you save could go towards partying in Lincoln Park!

What? Kelley's IB workshop has near 100% placement rates.

Damn. I missed that when I skimmed his first post. I guess it is a toss up, but I'd rather take the chance at being able to transfer in to Kelley, but I'm pretty partial anyway.
