Disappointed High School Senior choosing Undergraduate School

Hello! I'm a high school senior who needs to decide where to spend the next four years of my life.

I've been accepted to the following schools with a couple of waitlists, but for the purposes of this post, here is what I'm considering right now:

  • UT Austin McCombs + Canfield Business Honors Program (CBHP) - somewhere around 120k for 4 years; Out of State Applicant
  • IU Kelley - 200K for 4 years
  • UVA - 300K for 4 years; Out of State Applicant
  • Imperial College London for Economics, Finance, & Data Science - somewhere around 230K for 4 years

I am pretty much set on trying to get into NYC IB and was wondering where I would get the best chance to do so. Any and all criticism/advice would be very much appreciated!

Thanks!

Congrats on the admits! Seems like UT Austin McCombs is the best choice. Great business program, plenty of finance clubs, huge network for internship opps, places people into IB in NYC, fun college experience, entertaining sports, affordable for you, rising brand and prestige as well.

UVA extremely solid for sure, and the most targeted of your options, but its not worth all that extra money over UT. At the end of the day it’s a prominent state school and don’t think think it’s turning many heads over UT. You can accomplish what you need from UT easy.
