Do I really need to go to a big name school for investment banking?
As the title says, I'm curious as to whether or not big name schools like Ann Arbor, DUKE, NYU, etc. are necessary to get into front office investment banking. Just to be clear, I am able to get into these schools, it's the debt that comes with them that scares me. What schools did you guys go to? And are there any real advantages to going to the targets?
yea man harvard or bust!!
no, but definitely makes your life easier and improves your chances
If you don't mind my asking, where did you go to school?
IU Kelley only place to get into IB /s
I went to a target
No, you don't need to. Yes, targets make it less difficult to land in IB. There are tons of posts about this in more detail if you use the search bar.
