Does anyone here have Jeff Sackmann's Total Gmat math or Challenge Sets?

They are a bit pricey, but was wondering if anyone here has either of these? Are they as good as they say they are?

Im looking to improve my quant from the mid 40s to the high 40s.

Thanks

You're better off asking this on beatthegmat.com, GMATclub.com, etc. Just my two cents. A lot of interest in the GMAT here, but why not go to a community completely dedicated to the test with any questions you have about the test, right?

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Do not do these! They're a shitload of hard combinatorial / probability problems that infrequently show up on the GMAT even at the highest levels. You'll waste too much time on topics that may only show up for 1-2 questions, really low ROI. If you're looking for some material outside of the Manhattan series or some other common prep tool use the GMATClub tests... they're hard, but much more realistic and don't focus on a particular topic.

This is totally wrong. I went through jeff sackmann's total gmat math book and am currently working on his 1,000 challenge problem sets. The latter is divided by topic and question type, such as algebra, geometry, artihmetic, number property, exponents, data sufficiency, word problems, as well as 100-problem extreme challenge set, geared for those wanting to score 750+. His material is excellent. Great breadth of questions and very detailed explanations. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Hmm... I stand corrected, maybe I was thinking of another GMAT 'challenge' set... thanks

Thanks I remember you posted a while ago that you were using them and it was a great resource. I took a look at them and they are definitely all very diverse. I think the extreme challenge set is what BEpBep12 was talking about as it is heavy on the probability and combinatorics side (even jeff mentions that in his notes)

Anyways now it's time for me to get my quant up a few points. No excuses.
