Double Majoring at UF for Investment Banking
I am a high school student trying to figure out what would be the best plan for going to the University of Florida if I want to get into investment banking. I know I should major in finance and I am also going to try to do the accelerated MSF program there. However, I am currently pursuing my AA degree through dual enrollment at UWF so I will have lots of extra time at UF. I am interested to know if getting a dual degree/double major in something like mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, etc. would help me get recruited. I know another business-related degree such as economics or accounting would be preferable, but from what I have read of UF's policies they do not allow for double majors with two programs in their business school. I am also aware that doing a double degree/dual major may hurt my GPA but I am only interested currently in what the theoretically best option would be as I don't have to commit to the second degree if it negatively affects my grades.
Won’t help with recruiting. Likely to hurt more if your GPA gets blown up even slightly when everyone else is putting up 3.9+ or you don’t have time to interview prep
