EDHEC Master in Management

Hi Monkeys,

I am looking to work in France soon and I have been accepted to EDHEC's Mim program. I have a European residency and will be business fluent in French by the time I graduate.

I want to work in corporate strategy/development a couple years down the line and I have read that IB/consulting after graduating and then moving to corp. strat/dev is the way to go.

I understand France's elitist system and also the relationship between business schools and engineering schools.

My question is, will this school give me the opportunity to go into IB/consulting when I graduate? Or should I pursue some other way to break into corp strat/corp dev?

probably yes. Mostly dependent on you, what kind of internships you have/can get and then networking. While I havent seen many graduates from EDHEC at the top banks in London I am sure there are a few, many more at second tier places as well.

are you accepted into business management(lille) or financial economics(nice) track? You can break into IB from Nice campus but edhec is much more a finance/audit school and strategy consulting is not so strong. did you consider EM Lyon if you were not accepted into the top 3?

If F500 strategy/development is where you want to end up, you can consider apprentisage track ( work + study over 2 years and the company pays your tuition fees). Key to finding a full time job in France is having plenty of solid internships. Due to socialist laws companies are always reluctant to hire full timers.
