Emory Goizueta
This is not about banking or job placement.
I want to know how good Emory's business school is from an educational standpoint. How strong are the students by the time they graduate? How does the school compare to the likes of Stern, Ross, Dyson, etc?
This came up because I've been seeing consistently Goizueta called a "Juggernaut" of a B-School, though the rankings place it only at 15th on p&q (I know rankings are BS but it's just interesting). Georgia tech's Scheller is ranked higher despite it is often considered an inferior business school.
I'm hoping Emory alum would provide some insight with their experience, along with anybody who has worked with/recruited from Emory.
Thanks!
Emory UG alum so can’t provide any insight into MBA but I couldn’t have asked for more from a culture or educational perspective. Finance classes are much more practical than theoretical and prepare well for SA and FT gigs. OCR has improved dramatically over the last few years and at this point, if you even network a little bit, you will get a solid MM gig. In regards to classes, most of the professors are excellent and have real world experience, and almost all of the other students are supportive as there are more than enough banking opportunities to go around.
What's the geography of IB OCR? I assume NYC is first but what's second?
