Evaluate my profile

I guess many people must have at some point asked this, but I just wanted members to look at my profile and list some schools I could target for an MBA . I am thinking a concentration in Information Systems or Strategy Consulting or a General MBA. I am not sure which one to go for yet.

Background: BS, MS Computer Science ( GPA:3.34)
Work Ex: 7 years approx.
Career Progression: Average ( Associate Software Developer to Software Developer to Sr. Software Developer).
GMAT: 570 ( its very low - i know - 43Q, 26V)

I have not transformed anything in my Company but just been mostly a individual contributor/or in a team working in a team, doing well on my projects. Thats all. I tend to think most Software Engineers are like that unless one of us invents a new programming language.

Do I have a shot at a good school with my profile as of now?

If my profile changed and i scored a GMAT in 670-710 range what schools could i apply to then.

Appreciate the feedback.

Take this with a grain of salt, but I just read you're profile and all I could think of is a compute programmer. I realize that is what you have been doing, but everything is one dimensional. You should try and get some leadership in a volunteer organization or something. GMAT is going to need to be above a 650 to get a look at top schools.

as of now, with that GMAT score, you might be able to get into Ole Miss, but no joke, it wouldn't even be a sure thing.

if you get a better GMAT Score, you should be competitive for an ok MBA program, something like Ohio State. what undergrad did you attend? a good undergrad could bump up your chances for a better program.

to be honest, i don't see you being competitive for a top 20 program unless you get an 750+ GMAT, and even then, it won't be easy.

GPA is in the range of the majority of mba programs in the 10-20 range. Most, I believe, have averages of around 3.3-3.4. Assuming you've done something semi-interesting outside of work, you should have a shot at decent b-school, provided that you get your GMAT score above 680. Obviously you're a bit older than the average applicant, but assuming you provide a sound reason for wanting to attend a mba program, you should have a shot. Though, I wouldn't recommend putting this off much longer.
