1) Read the Wall Street Journal, Economist, etc. everyday. for reading comp practice, sentence correction, idioms, etc. 2) Get the Offical Guide verbal book 3) Go to gmatclub.com and check out some of the verbal exercises

I second that. Read anything well written; also read the science section of the ny times. You'll find some dry articles which you're likely to run into on the GMAT. I actually prefer the Powerscore sentence correction and crit reasoning material, but you can't go wrong with mgmat.

i think its too late for you to get a verbal GMAT score lift simply from reading - unless you plan on taking the exam a few years and about a few hundred books from now...

I'd also suggest the Manhattan GMAT, especially for sentence correction and the math aspect. I was in a similar situation...

Practice a lot and consistently. Try to sneak in an hour a day. By the end, you should have done nearly a 1000 questions.

And also, don't focus on one topic solely for too long, swap days.
