Graduate School= University of Rochester or Georgia Tech
Hello everyone! This is my first post and I want to thank everybody in advance for helping me out here!
I've been accepted to both UoR and GT's masters programs in finance. I know there are differences between the two, Rochester is more focused on corporate finance and GT's program is more quantitative and computational, but I'd like people's opinion's on which program would lead to more job opportunities.
Because I keep hearing that UoR's program is top notch and well ranked, but that job possibilities are limited. Is this true? I would have thought their location so close to NYC would be extremely beneficial for networking and that big banks and firms would know about Rochester's good program.
Georgia Tech is internationally known, but I'm not so sure how well known they are for their finance program. I'm an undergraduate at GT and I know that the courses are rigorous and I would definitely be challenged and be well-prepared for the highly technical and quantitative aspects of trying to land a job in the market. But all the skills in the world won't help me if I can't get my foot in the door.
So which of the two should I accept? I've got until the 15th to decide.
Thank you all so much again.
