Help - Rising Senior at Semi-Non-Target School Seeking Advice

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here. I'm not really sure if this will be seen by many people or anyone for that matter... I am currently finished with my junior year at university, a semi-target school, where many of the students here can rely solely on their last name to get a job right after graduation. However, for me, this is not the case whatsoever; I am the first in my family to venture into the business world and do not have too many formal connections. Little about me: I am an International Business Major with a B.B.A, as well as a finance minor. I struck out on all of my dozens of internship applications as most of the analyst roles wanted finance majors, and the consulting groups seemingly had no interest due to my university and or major or some unknown reasoning. While I have accepted this as just a juxtaposition, as many jobs seem to be available in a wide range of paths, there are no internships that seemingly match my major or any of these "jobs" I constantly hear about. I decided that this summer if I were to not get an internship it would not be the end of the world, I would just have to do other relevant work, like certifications or classes or tests that could be added to my resume to further that this summer. This post is getting rather long but I am seeking recommendations from all of yall where I should best divert my efforts and into what certifications/exams/classes. Currently, I am looking into either the international consulting or international finance industries as I am looking for a career that initially allows me plenty of travel, whether it be quicker rotations to countries or longer term as an expatriate.

TLDR: I am a Senior International Business Major and Finance Minor seeking advice for what certifications/exams/classes I should take this summer as, to no avail, I did not get lucky enough for an internship. Also, career advice is very, very welcomed currently looking into International Consulting / International Finance.

Edit 1: I have attempted to connect with nearly 50 alumni on LinkedIn from my school and have been accepted by about 8 of them. My page is not sparse by any means.
