How do I choose: Wellesley, Barnard, NYU & Boston College

Got into these schools, but the college I got accepted into at nyu is not stern and at bc is not CSOM. (I might do internal transfer).

I do feel that only Barnard students regard Barnard as Columbia but I admit I like the prestige brought by CU. How is Barnard's prestige in IBD recruiting?

Based on the WSO dataset, Barnard College, while affiliated with Columbia University, does not carry the same level of direct recognition in the realm of Investment Banking Division (IBD) recruiting as Columbia's core programs. However, Barnard students can still leverage the proximity to Columbia's resources and network, which can be beneficial in the recruiting process.

When considering your options, it's important to weigh the overall prestige and specific program strengths of each institution. For instance, NYU, although not Stern, and Boston College, not CSOM, still hold substantial recognition and may offer opportunities for internal transfers to more specialized programs.

If prestige and direct access to IBD opportunities are your primary concerns, you might want to consider the overall strength and reputation of the business or finance-related programs at these schools, alongside the potential for transferring into more targeted programs like Stern at NYU.

Ultimately, the decision should also factor in your personal fit and comfort with the school environment, as well as the specific opportunities each school provides for networking, internships, and exposure to the finance industry.
