How effective can networking in January be (nonRX), and when would recruitment group be active
I think it might be less effective compared to ntw calls before new year but I think calls in January still helps right? Considering that most of the banks would release their first-round invitation by the end of January (but I know some banks getting back pretty early tho, and also many banks having first-round back by Feb)
I'm a UVA student so I don't know when will the so-called recruiting team began processing all the apps. Some groups that I'm really interested in will release first-round by late Feb (for last recruiting cycle) but the bank application would release on Jan 1 so I don't know if I'll still get referred or pushed if I network in Jan or Feb
Networking in January can still be effective, but its impact depends on timing, the bank's recruitment cycle, and how well you execute your outreach. Here's what you need to know based on the most helpful WSO content:

In summary, while earlier networking can provide an edge, January is still a critical window to make connections and secure referrals. Just ensure you're polished, strategic, and proactive in your approach.
