How good in Masters in Finance from UIUC?
My application for Masters in Finance has been accepted by UIUC. I am an international student from India and already have about 7 years of experience working for private equity clients and last 2-3 years working as a offshore support for a sell-side analyst. I am kinda worried about my future prospects and if it is actually worth it as the tuition fees is on the higher end at ~$60,000. I would love some input regarding this decision.
it's for no-experience undergrads. Have you checked it out at all?!
@whattherock" any quick views on the brand itself?
MIT equivalent in Tech, decent in business, location is somewhat a limp hearing from just the few I know. IlliniProgrammer may have a more fair view since I never went there
you know that I get tagged twice? reply/quote is once and @ makes it twice
and as usual the OP is now scared to death, lol.
so much for the TNA disasters.
But did you apply for any MBA programs?
if you've done the GMAT then with your exp you may as well.
You have 7 years experience. An MSF really isn't for you. The UIUC brand is good domestically and internationally, but I'd expect to get the degree and go back to India with it.
Would your view be the same if the MSF/MSc was from a Princeton, MIT, Columbia (CBS as discussed on a prior thread).
Appreciate the insight?
Slightly. End of the day if you have 7 years experience you should do an MBA. Maybe a computational masters would help. But a traditional MSF will not be of much help.
Princeton MFin is a MFE and illniprogrammer is an alum. MIT MFin salary is better than many T25 MBA Averages. Columbia's MSc is so oversold these days
Thanks for shitting my account 10 times rather quickly. that's awesome that I can clean up your laborious efforts at once!
