How hard is BB/EB from a Target/Lower Ivy (Brown/Columbia/Dartmouth/Cornell)?

And within that what about top shops (FIG, TMT, etc) and MF PE? Is it just luck on top of the hard work, networking, technicals, etc?

Same difficulty as any other target, so if you don't land it will be on you, not the school name

I went to one of those schools and it is quite simple to land BB/EB offers provided that you have the right profile. Lots of alumni to network with and even have designated on-campus recruiting events from some of the firms.

Most of the finance clubs at these schools are not all that competitive to get into compared to say Northwestern’s IB club. Lots of people not part of the most exclusive finance club still break into BB/EB with the right GPA (3.6+), networking, mastery of techncials, other ECs and internships.
