How important is uni name after 5 years of exp?

Dear fellow finance bros/gals,

I am curious how important your master's university name is after you have worked for 5 years?

The reason I am asking this question is I have been admitted to both Msc Finance Bocconi and a double degree between HEC - Polytechnique : MScT Data Science & Finance. I did my UG at Sciences Po Paris.

Being french I am planning on working in Paris in the long run, but would like to start in London, work there for 4-5 years and then move to Paris and benefit from the régime fiscal impartrié.

Since I prefer spending 2 years in Milan rather than Paris suburbs I will probably go to Bocconi. My fear however is that I will not be able to return to Paris with a Bocconi brand name (or that it will be much harder than with an HEC-Polytechnique one).

To give some more info I am fluent in French and English + I speak B2/C1 italian and A2/B1 spannish.

Thanks everyone :)))

I actually think university experience is very important initially, declines over time, and then increases later in one's career. There's probably a bias towards trusting the advice of those from good universities, holding experience constant, which explains why so many executive profiles will advertise their alma matter (typically always at the end of their bio).
