How should I value non-target schools in my pursuit of an IB career?
I am a senior in high school currently in the midst of college application season. I'm applying to a large number of schools, but the ones with the best reputations that I can really get into are (maybe) Bucknell, Bentley, and Fordham. Clearly, I am not the best applicant due to my middling GPA, class rank, and standardized test scores. I understand that the Finance industry is one of the few that is driven primarily by brand name, but at the same rate, I don't want to go deep into debt at a private school just to end up working in Big 4 like the other thousands of graduates.
Since I cannot get into any target or semi-target schools, how should I value my future education? Is it worth it to attend a state school, like UGA (my home state), UIowa, or Penn State, or should I try and attend a private school that presents greater alumni connections, and then pursue an MBA at a top level school?
