How to navigate Bschool offer + FT Job offer
Hi Monkeys,
My situation is this, 1 week out from finishing Undergrad and accepted a Mid Office Trading Ops Job at a BB (GS, MS, JPM) in a satellite office. I also got into an Ms Finance program at my university that starts in September. Its 1 year and its full time but the best thing about it is that because I was an undergrad at this particular university and continuing on, tuition is 50%. That's a huge amount of money saved/not paid in interest on student loans. The problem is that the masters is pretty intense and I am not sure I will be able to juggle both the Ops role and school and I don't want to do things half-assed at work or at school. The problem is I cannot switch to part-time for this program or I would lose a lot of scholarship/financial aid. I still want to do my job for at least the summer but I also think it looks bad if I quit after 3 months and I'm not sure how even to ask to get reduced time at work or if that's even possible. I do feel like the masters will benefit me because the GPA would most likely be better than my Undergrad one and it would help me land roles in FO sales and trading, which is where I want to be. The Ops person I talked to said that some people transition to FO but I'm not sure how often that happens. Any advice would be welcome.
wrecksus294, way too quiet in here. What about these resources:

Hope that helps.
Do people from the MS program land S&T FT roles? Then maybe worth it. I would be more inclined to make good money in a cheaper city and network my way into that job by year 3.
