H/W 2+2 for international students
Hi all,
I have an idea, and I would like to get your opinion.
I am a senior at a US target school going to an EB for FT and I am an international student. My firm usually is good with transferring to London but I would like to develop my career in the US. I have no particular interest in pursuing an MBA, but I was thinking of applying for the Harvard/Wharton 2+2 MBA. Assuming I get accepted, I would get some strong downside protection. Let's analyze the worst case that I don't get my H1B, and I am transferred to London: I would be stuck there, and coming back to the US would be very tough. In that case, I will be able to exercise my option, and I will be back in the US for MBA and can again recruit from there. Assuming I get my H1B, I will just continue my career in the US, turn down the MBA and just lose the $1000 deposit.
My profile is strong I believe: I have a high GPA and am an athlete (not D1 school if that matters).
Any advice, is this a good idea?

Btw if you are Asian / White heritage your likelihood of admission to HBS is quite low as they look for specific profiles (tech/manufacturing/operations/startup peeps) and not finance bros. But if you have time to take GMAT/GRE, why not apply because it is low risk.
