I need some serious carreer advice

Hey guys,

I have a little situation and i would appreciate any comments.

I am scared that i am getting too old and not having any job experience yet...i am 23 years old and i still have 5 more semesters to graduate from JMSB (concordia) in finance. I failed to enter this program as i was not selected, so i have the option to extended my stay in university one more year and re apply... so by the time i graduate i will be around 26-27...to land my first analyst job...

How hard is to land an internship or an analyst jobs when the average undergrad will be 21-23?

I want to get into currencies trading, as i quickly realized that i-banking was gonna be really hard for me, why?

i figured i do not have the personality to be able to sale something in 2 minutes...plus i still having problems with english, i have been in montreal for 9 years and my english is ok, but i am just not as fluent as i wish i was...

Am i wrong?

I have made some serious amount of money that allows me to almost cover full tuition pretty much anywhere i could get accepted.

So if you were in my position would you just stick to the money and keep trading and remain in concordia..(it is a beautiful school, and the program is ok, but networking wise is almost dead...unless you want to work in baystreet) or give up trading, and apply to an ivy school in the states and go there and try to network as much as possible?

I think you need to picture yourself a few years down the line and go for it.

I was in a similar situation myself up until two weeks ago until the job offers started rolling in. I was about to transfer to Columbia from Penn State. When I got my dream job, I canceled my application process and was happy to accept the job offer of my dreams.

In this world and lifetime, the good people will shine no matter what cloud that comes around.

I say continue being a Trader on your own and use the education to get ahead in the game. Maybe study something else and benefit from it like starting your own fund for investors. Get some of Daddy's friends on board if you can present good stuff.
