Erasmus university econometrics

Hi,

I'm currently choosing between two degrees at Erasmus university Rotterdam: 'Econometrics and operational research', which is pretty similar to an applied math degree and the double degree bsc2 econometrics and economics, which is the single econometrics degree combined with a degree in economics. Econometrics would mainly prepare me for quantitative finance but i'm also open to regular finance, which is why im at this dilemma.  Does anyone know anything about these programs, specifically whether i should go for the single bachelor or the double?

Thank you guys for the advice!

There's much better quant programs out there, but these are not bad. Aim for a target master after though

ETH (quant fin), école Polytechnique (El karoui), Imperial math and finance, Oxford Computational Finance come to mind.

I'd say 8.25+ for gpa. Oxford is most competitive.

Internships are much more important. However if you can create your own student club for quant/research and actually produce stuff, work with getting company visits, talks etc then its obviously a standout experience
