IB Transition Chances

Hi Everybody! I'm preparing applications for Business Schools in US. Currently working in Oil & Gas operations. I have 3.7 GPA and a 710 on GMAT. I want to switch to IB post MBA and need to finalise the schools accordingly. What Programs do you think I could have a shot at?

Thanks

IB Placements are great at NYU, CBS, Cornell.

Given you are Indian and come from a highly represented pool of candidates. You need at least a 740-50 to aim for CBS. 730-40 for NYU, 710-720 for Cornell.

Also how did you convert your marks to GPA? Indian applicants are suggested not to convert to GPA as that can be very misleading. To give you an accurate understanding please use tools like WES: https://applications.wes.org/igpa-calculator/

Also you need to provide more information regarding your profile to give you an accurate evaluation. Such as: Where did you go for your Bachelors (IIT/BITS/NITS are common)? What did you major in? Do you have a graduate degree (If Yes, in what and from where)? What did you do for work experience and how long? Extracurricular activities?

Thanks for the reply!

I went to NIT and did my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Got CGPA of 8.16 out of 10 (top 10 percentile in the class of 100). Some Forums convert my CGPA to a 4 on US GPA scale ,though I'm not relying on them. I joined India's leading Natural Gas distribution company and have been working there for 4 years-

1. led expansion of transmission infrastructure throughout New Delhi by establishing 50 odd new stations in 3 years

2. awarded twice for my role as well.

3. Planned Opex for coming 5 years

Extra curricular- Always been a part of Bhangra (Folk Dance in India) Team - be it high school, under grad college. Have won various Dance Competitions throughout my career. Mentored at NGOs - taught Maths & Science to children below 15 years of age. Currently, I am tutoring at Pandemic Professors.

I am applying to Cornell,Duke,Darden,Gtown,Tuck and McCombs.

Can you guess what are the odds?
