Ideas for starting Finance/Markets club at small non-target

Hey WSO
I'm starting a finance club at my small non-target to boost my admissions profile for my upcoming transfer application to Umich/Ross, as well as an experience I can put on my resume for regional 2025 IB/PE internships.

Can anyone that was in a finance club at a target university provide some insight as to what sort of activities the club hosted/participated in? I have the network to pull in some alumni/others in IB/PE to give talks/QnA, but am looking for more ideas. I have some listed below:

- Resume Workshops

- Student team stock pitch competitions

- "Breakfast club" sessions where I (and others) break down financial concepts, technical skills, etc

Thank you!
